Trip Overview

The Classic Everest Trek is a classic route to the Everest Base Camp, which used in the first successful expeditions to Mount Everest by Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay when there was no airport in Lukla. A spectacular extended trek takes us from the beautiful villages in the foothills to all the way up into the heart of the Himalaya at the foot of the highest mountains on earth.

The Trek starts from the quiet and a less travelled route of Jiri through the Lamajura Pass to the upper Khumbu region with the land full of uninterrupted mountain scenery. The trekking through Jiri provides the opportunity to the trekkers to explore the unique landscape of the Khumbu region, Himalayan flora with exotic wildlife, lush valleys with the spectacular mountain views and diverse culture and ethnicity of the Himalayas. The route offers a different aspect of the Everest region as it traverses diverse villages of Chhetri, Magar and Rai settlements crossing the Lamjura Pass to enter the land dominated by the Sherpas. This is a very scenic trek, which offers terrific views of the world's highest peaks, including Gaurishanker, Number Himal, Kwangde, Twache, Everest, Lhotse, Thamserku, Ama Dablam and many others. We enjoy the verdant terraces, spectacular mountain views and Himalayan waterfalls as the trail passes through the villages and landscapes covered with rhododendron, magnolia and giant firs.

Jiri to Everest Base Camp Trek is nearly a month long adventure in the Himalayas to explore the exquisiteness of the silvering mountains and unique culture of the region. The trek is ideal fro the fit and experienced trekker who has passion for walking and exploring the Himalayan region.
